SweepTag Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2026

SweepTag is made by Sweepfull (sweepfull.eu). This policy explains what data the SweepTag app handles and — more importantly — what it doesn't.

The short version

SweepTag collects no personal data. There is no SweepTag account, no SweepTag server, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you create in the app is stored on your device and stays there unless you connect the app to a service of your own.

Data stored on your device

Everything you create or configure lives in the app's private storage on your device only:

  • Asset collections, asset types, and all field values
  • Generated barcodes and barcode history
  • Scan history
  • App settings
  • A diagnostic activity log (kept on-device for 7 days, credentials stripped; it is never transmitted — sharing it with support is always a manual action you take yourself)

You can export your data (CSV/JSON) at any time, and Settings › Advanced › Reset erases all of it permanently.

Camera

SweepTag asks for camera access only to scan barcodes and QR codes while the Scan tab is open. Images are processed on the device in real time; no photos or video are stored or transmitted.

Optional connections you control

SweepTag can talk to outside services only if you set the connection up, and only to your own accounts:

  • Lansweeper — if you connect a Lansweeper account with your Personal Access Token, SweepTag queries your Lansweeper data (read-only) and can write a single barcode value back to a custom field you choose. Your token is stored on your device and sent only to Lansweeper's API. SweepTag is not affiliated with Lansweeper NV; your use of Lansweeper is governed by Lansweeper's own terms and privacy policy.
  • File export — if you choose an export destination (a local folder, a network share, iCloud Drive, OneDrive, or Google Drive), SweepTag copies the barcode image and label files it generated to that destination. Sign-in tokens for OneDrive/Google Drive and any network-share password are stored in your device's secure keychain, and Google Drive access is limited to files SweepTag itself creates. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies (Apple, Microsoft, Google).

Sweepfull has no access to any of these accounts, tokens, or transferred files. Removing a connection in the app removes its credentials from the device.

What Sweepfull receives

Nothing from the app itself. The app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) may show us standard aggregated statistics — download counts, anonymized crash summaries — under their own privacy policies; these are compiled by Apple and Google, not by the app, and contain no data you entered into SweepTag.

Children

SweepTag is a general-audience utility app. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If SweepTag ever changes how it handles data (for example, an optional cloud sync feature), this page will be updated before that change ships, and the effective date above will change.
